The mission of Consolidated Continuing Education and Professional Training (CONCEPT) is to offer professional training and continuing education opportunities for psychologists and other mental health professionals that merge up-to-date psychological science with evidence-based practice application, thereby increasing professional competence and knowledge and ultimately enhancing the practice of psychology to the benefit of those with whom psychologists and other mental health professionals work.
To reach this mission, CONCEPT has set out three principle goals: (1) To offer professional training and continuing education in areas relevant to those activities in which psychologists and other mental health professionals primarily engage, including education, research, and practice, (2) To offer professional training and continuing education programs that highlight current and emerging issues in the relevant educational, research and practice literatures, and (3) To offer professional training and continuing education programs that consolidate science and practice.
Consistent with the stated mission and goals, CONCEPT is committed to the ongoing evaluation of its professional training and continuing education programs to ensure that individual program objectives are being met and that the programs and objectives are consistent with the mission of enhancing the profession and practice of psychology.
